When are services?

Our services are on Sunday mornings at 10:00 am.  Check out the calendar under "Events" for other opportunities to join us.

What should I wear?

We want you to feel comfortable. After all, we are thrilled that you're joining us and want you to be more focused on the service than on what you're wearing. In the summertime, it's not uncommon to see people wearing sandals, shorts, and a shirt. Others prefer to still put on their "Sunday best," and that's fine too! We think you'll fit in no matter how you dress.

How do I get to First CRC?

Where should I park?

Parking is permitted on streets surrounding the church. In the event of a parking ban due to events at nearby Commonwealth Stadium, you will be provided with a parking pass at the door.

Where do my children go?

Our child care nursery, which is located in the church basement, is the perfect place for your infant children right through age 3 to go while you attend service.  When you arrive at the nursery, simply check your child in and provide the care-givers with a diaper bag if desired.

During the school season children age 3 to Grade 3 join the congregation for the first part of the service before going to Sunday School just before the message begins. The leader of the service will dismiss the children to Sunday School at that time. A parent needs to accompany your child to sign them in (and if you have not yet registered for Sunday School, please fill out a registration form. the sunday School teacher can provide one for you.). Then, just come on back into the service. Don't worry about walking in during the message. After the service, head on back downstairs to sign you child out.

All volunteers are trained and screened according to our Plan to Protect® policies. Plan to Protect® is a system that trains volunteers and staff for best practices to keep children and youth safe. All volunteers have submitted clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks to the safe church committee and been trained in abuse prevention policies, procedures, and protocols.

Am I expected to put money in the offering?

If you are visiting with us, we don't expect you to put money in the offering, and you are welcome to just let it pass you by. If you consider First Church your church home, we'd love for you to prayerfully consider giving to First Church. You can give by check or cash during the service, or you can set-up an automatic withdrawal schedule by contacting the church office.

I have hearing and/or visual problems. Is there any special assistance?

Yes! For those who are hearing impaired, we have special hearing devices that you can wear that will allow you to control the volume. If you think this would be beneficial to you, please ask one of the ushers for a hearing assistance device.

For those who are visually impaired, please contact one of the ushers for a large print hymnal, bible and bulletin. We also project the words of many songs on a screen at the front.
